Remote FPGA Lab

Real AMD boards, any hour of the day.

Test your bitfile on real hardware without owning any. Bare boards are online 24/7 from $5 an hour. For tests that need cameras, 1G–100G networking, analysers, PCIe hosts or media streamers, our team sets up the bench for you.

Boards in the middle. Instruments all around.

Three AMD boards are online today, with more being added. Around them is everything a real test needs, so you don't have to buy, borrow or wire it up yourself.

02How to access

Two ways in. Both simple.

Most tests only need a bare board: book it and you're testing within minutes, any time of day. When a test needs more, tell us the setup and we'll have the bench ready for you.

Self-service · 24/7

Arranged by our team

Custom setup, built for your test.

When your test needs sensors, links or instruments connected, our team wires the bench and quotes an hourly rate.

  1. Describe the setup

The board, the interfaces and instruments, link speeds and test length.

    5 min
  2. Get a quote

An hourly rate: the board's rate plus the components connected.

    we reply
  3. We wire the bench

Our team connects everything and confirms when it's ready.

    we set up
  4. Book and test

Connect the same way as a bare board and run your tests.

03Boards online

Three boards today. More on the way.

Each board is priced by its size. Your bitfile is built for the lab board you choose, so there's nothing extra to configure.

04Infrastructure

The instruments you'd otherwise have to buy.

Our team connects this equipment to a board as part of a custom setup, so your design talks to real sensors, real links and real hosts.

Need a specific setup? Our team builds it.

Tell us what your test needs connected. We wire the bench, quote an hourly rate based on the board and the components, and confirm when it's ready. You approve the rate before anything is booked.

Pay for the board. Add only what you connect.

Bare boards have a fixed hourly rate by size. A custom setup starts from that same rate and adds the components connected for your test.

What raises the component part of the rate:

  • Camera sensors per sensor
  • Network links by speed, 1G → 100G
  • Analysers logic · protocol · network
  • PCIe host and drives per host
  • Video and audio streamers per stream

You get a written hourly rate before booking, and billing then works like a bare board. Credits and packs →

07Where it fits

Test first. Buy only what works.

The lab sits between your bitfile and your purchase decision. You see the design working on real hardware before committing to boards, a production licence or source code.

Before

Bitfile from FPGA Build

SIGPT builds a device-locked bitfile, plus matching firmware for RISC-V designs, for the lab board you pick. FPGA Build →

In the lab

Prove it on silicon

Real clocks, real memory, real links. Book again whenever you iterate.

After

License or take the ASIC path

When your tests pass, license the bitfile, buy the source, or move toward silicon. Licensing →

FAQRemote Lab

Good to know.

Is the lab really available 24/7?
Yes, for bare boards. Book any free board at any hour and connect straight away. Custom setups are prepared by our team, then booked like any other session.
Which boards are in the lab?
Digilent Zybo Z7-20 (Small, $5/hr), and AMD ZCU106 and KCU116 (Medium, $10/hr). Large-scale AMD boards at $20/hr are being added. Specifications →
How is lab time billed?
By the minute, with a 10-minute minimum, from credits or by card. You aren't charged while queued.
How much does a custom setup cost?
It depends on what's connected. We start from the board's hourly rate and add the components, such as cameras, 1G–100G links, analysers, PCIe hosts or streamers. You approve the hourly rate before booking.
How do I connect?
Through a secure session in your browser or the SIGPT CLI. You get JTAG programming, a UART console, remote power cycling, a board camera, on-chip debug and an attached host PC.
What if my design targets a custom board?
Prove the core logic on the closest lab board, then validate on your own hardware. Custom boards can't be placed in the lab.
Is my design protected in the lab?
Your bitfile is device-locked to the registered lab board, and sessions are isolated per reservation. Please don't place confidential data in test inputs unless agreed in advance.

See it run before you buy.

Use a bare board any time, or tell us the setup you need.
