Conceptual render: a central FPGA package on a dark board, surrounded by memory, high-speed and optical connectors joined by copper signal paths.

Hardware targets

Any AMD board. Including yours.

Test on three boards in our Remote FPGA Lab, build for any standard commercial AMD FPGA board, or add your own custom board through a private profile. Your prompt stays the same, and the bitfile adapts to the hardware.

Test on ours. Build for any. Or bring your own.

SIGPT builds for AMD FPGAs. Three boards are in the Remote FPGA Lab, so you can test there by the hour. Any standard commercial AMD board can be a build target, and a custom board only needs a board profile.

01 · Remote FPGA LabAvailable now

Three boards, ready to book.

Each lab board is wired, powered and set up with remote programming, a UART console, power cycling and a host PC. Build for it, reserve it by the hour, and test your bitfile on real hardware.

Lab rates follow the FPGA size tiers on the pricing page. Live availability and the instruments at each bay are shown when you book. Specifications are summarised; refer to the vendor documentation for full details.

02 · Commercial boardsBuild target

Every standard AMD board. Not just the ones in our lab.

SIGPT supports standard, commercially available FPGA boards. Pick yours as the build target and the pins, clocks, memory and interfaces come from its board profile. If you own the board, test on your own bench. If not, test on the closest lab board.

Board not listed?

Tell us the board. We'll add it.

If you use a commercial AMD board that isn't listed, send it to us. Our team checks it and adds it to the list. Once added, it's available to every customer.

  1. SubmitBoard name, plus the part if you know it
  2. We checkPart, pins, clocks and interfaces
  3. AddedYou're notified, and it appears in the list
Board capability is not IP capability. An IP can support more than a board's physical interfaces can carry. For example, PCIe Gen5 IP on a board wired for Gen3 runs at Gen3. Builds use what the selected board physically supports.
03 · Custom boardsPrivate profile

Your own board, private to your account.

SIGPT supports your custom board too. Describe it once in a board profile and every future build can target it. Board data is private: only your account can see or use it.

What to provide

  1. FPGA partPart number, package and speed grade
  2. Pin constraintsPin assignments and I/O standards (XDC or a pin list)
  3. Clocks and resetsSources, frequencies, reset polarity and sequencing
  4. I/O bank voltagesBank VCCO levels and signalling standards
  5. MemoryType, width, capacity, topology and the device part
  6. Interfaces and PHYsConnectors, transceivers, PHY parts and reference clocks
  7. SchematicThe full schematic, or the FPGA-related sheets
  8. Bring-up notesPower sequencing, straps, known issues

We may ask for more detail depending on your design. Please don't attach board files to the early-access form. Upload them to your private profile once your account is set up.

  • Visible only to your accountNot shown to other customers or added to the public board list

Testing a custom board. Custom boards can't go in the Remote FPGA Lab, so you test on your own bench. To de-risk first, prove the design on the closest lab board, then rebuild for your custom board. Start a custom-board profile →

Device locking

One bitstream. One registered device.

Whatever the board (lab, commercial or custom), the bitstream you receive is licensed and bound to the registered FPGA device. Moving a design to another device needs a new build and licence.

FAQBoards

Straight answers.

Which boards are in the Remote FPGA Lab?
AMD ZCU106, AMD KCU116 and Digilent Zybo Z7-20. You can build for them and test on them by the hour.
Can I build for a board that isn't in the lab?
Yes. SIGPT supports standard, commercially available AMD FPGA boards as build targets. You test on your own board, or prove the design first on the closest lab board.
My commercial board isn't listed. What now?
Send it to us with the board request form. Our team checks the board and adds it to the list, then lets you know. Once added, every customer can use it.
Who can see my custom board profile?
Only your account. Custom board data is private. It isn't shared with other customers, isn't added to the public list and isn't used for training.
Are pin constraints alone enough for a custom board?
Not always. Clocks, resets, I/O voltages, memory configuration and PHY details may also be needed, depending on the design.
Can a bitstream move to another device?
No. Bitstreams are bound to the registered device. Moving to another device needs a new build and licence.
Do you support FPGA vendors other than AMD?
AMD FPGAs are supported today, and more vendors are coming. Tell us your target in your application.
